TRAVEL GEAR Old

CAMERA EQUIPMENT:

Sony PXW-FS5 4K HDCAM – For movie-worthy, 4K HD scenes. This isn’t a practical camera for on the go or handheld shots, but it’s an incredible camera for time-lapse, interviews, etc.
Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II (Silver) – This is our go-to camera for anything out of the water. GoPro cameras are excellent for capturing the live action shots, but for excellent imagery and stabilization we love using the Olympus.

GoPro Hero3: Black Edition – Remember those live action shots the Olympus isn’t ideal for? We’ve used our GoPro cameras for surfing, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, and drunken street dancing. Not great for sound, but perfect for it’s ability to capture the more adventurous stuff.

MICROPHONES:

Sony ECM-44 Omni-Directional Electret Condenser Wired Lavalier Microphone – This mic is specific for the Sony fs5 camera.

Rode Video Mic Pro

Rode Stereo VideoMic Pro Rycote Condenser On-Camera Microphone

Shure MV88 iOS Digital Stereo Condenser Microphone w/ Rycote Windjammer Windscreen – Bundle

TRIPODS & STABILIZERS:

DJI osmo Mobile 2 Handheld Smartphone Gimbal

Induro Tripods CLT303 No. 3 Stealth Carbon Fiber Tripod

Benro Aero 4 Travel Angel Video Tripod

EDITING EQUIPMENT:

MacBook Pro 17.0-Inch Laptop Intel QuadCore i7 2.4GHz / 16GB DDR3 Memory / 1TB SSHD (Solid State Hybrid) Drive / 1.5GB Video Memory / High-Resolution Display / ThunderBolt / OS X 10.9 Mavericks – A necessary evil, this mac-daddy laptop can handle the editing software that is Final Cut Pro while still being thin enough to lug around in a backpack.

Sony MDR7502 Professional Studio Headphones, Black

Final Cut Pro X – We use this to edit every one of our videos, and even used it to edit parts of RV Nomads: The Movie. You only buy this software once, and it will update you whenever needed; unlike Adobe, that must be re-purchased each time there’s an updated version.

GEAR STORAGE & TRAVEL:

Thule Covert DSLR Rolltop Backpack

Mountainsmith Approach 25 Daypack, Anvil Grey

Pelican 1200 Case with Foam for Camera Yellow

AmazonBasics Hard Camera Case – Medium

BABY GEAR:

Baby Bjorn Carrier  – With the amount of time we spend outside, having an easy way to carry Tucker was a MUST. We’ve used other baby carriers in the past, and the Bjorn fits all of our needs perfectly. Both Jesse and I can wear it since it’s so adjustable, and snapping Tucker in is so easy we’ve been able to do it while he’s napping.

Thule Urban Glide – Jogging Stroller- Dark Shadow – Game CHANGER. Having a good stroller has meant we can take Tucker nearly anywhere and still be able to lug along baby snacks and camera gear!

North States Baby Playpen – For those times where you want to be outside, but baby wants to get his wiggles out and the carrier isn’t an option! This little play yard has been perfect for Tucker to walk around and play while we grill or enjoy a sunset.

Graco 4Ever All in 1 Car Seat Studio – Have good baby seat, will travel! This can be easily used in the truck or the RV depending on what we’re traveling in. I’ve even seen these car seats strapped into an airplane.
